Titin Kharisma – Capek Dech

The inherent sexist structures in dangdut hot have always been a problem, but to an extent I feel that Titin Kharisma (though clearly participating in them) also subverts and warps them to her own agency. It may just be that she’s a considerably more accomplished performer than her contemporaries, or her straight, defiant stare.
